We Rock for Autism

Autism Speaks announced on Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 that they are working with the Google Cloud Platform to create an autism genome database.  The AUT10K (The Autism Speaks Ten Thousand Genomes Program) has already received 12,ooo DNA samples from Autism Speaks with the hopes to transform ASD genomics research. A quote from the story:

“Only by understanding autism risk can we begin to develop treatments that target not just the symptoms but the root causes of autism spectrum disorder,” genetic autism researcher Dr. Jeremy Veenstra-VanderWeele said in support.
